Privacy Policy

Playwich LLC ("Playwich," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Playwich mobile application (the "App") and the website at playwich.com (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Playwich is currently invite-only and pre-launch. This policy applies from the moment the App is available to any user, including testers.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information: name, email address, birthdate, and, if you choose to provide it, a phone number, when you register via an invite/referral token. Your birthdate is used primarily to verify that you meet our 18+ age requirement (see Section 7); it may also be visible to members of clubs you join, similar to your name and ratings.
Match & club activity: invites you create or claim, matches you join, scores and results you submit, post-match survey responses, your coin balance/ledger, and any yellow-card / fair-play records tied to your account.
Device & push notification data: a push notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can notify you about invites, matches, and account activity.
Support & feedback: anything you submit through the in-app "Send Feedback" feature or by emailing us directly.
Technical & diagnostic data: basic app usage and error logs generated automatically by our infrastructure (Google Firebase) to help us keep the Service running and fix bugs.
Crash reports: when the App crashes or hits an error, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash report on our behalf. A report contains technical details about the failure and your device — such as the stack trace, the app version, your device model and operating system version, the state of the device at the time, and a Crashlytics-generated installation identifier — plus two pieces of context we attach ourselves: your Playwich account ID and the ID of the club you were viewing. We attach those two so we can tell which account and club a crash came from and reproduce the problem. We do not put your name, email address, birthdate, or anything you have typed into a crash report. Crash reporting is active only in released builds of the App.

We do not use advertising networks, and we do not use analytics or tracking SDKs that profile you across other apps or websites. The only third-party components in the App are the Google Firebase services described in this policy. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so.

2. How we use your information

To create and operate your account, and to run the invite, match, coin, and club features of the Service.
To send you push notifications and, where applicable, email about your matches, invites, and account.
To enforce fair play (for example, tracking no-shows and yellow cards) so that games run reliably for everyone.
To respond to support requests and feedback you send us.
To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service, including reviewing crash reports to diagnose and fix technical issues.
To comply with applicable law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Playwich, our users, and the public.

3. How your information is stored

Playwich runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Crashlytics), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to production data is limited to Playwich LLC personnel who need it to operate and support the Service. All authoritative game logic (coins, yellow cards, match state) runs server-side, and Firestore security rules restrict what data any individual account can read or write directly.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with:

Service providers that operate our infrastructure (currently Google Firebase / Google Cloud), solely to provide the Service to you.
Other players, to the limited extent needed for the Service to function — for example, your name and match/club activity are visible to players you are matched with or share a club with.
Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Playwich, our users, or others.
A successor entity, if Playwich LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — subject to this policy or a policy at least as protective.

5. Your choices and rights

You can review and update your account information from within the App.
You can disable push notifications at the device level at any time.
You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@playwich.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
Deleting your account may not immediately remove information that other users' matches or club records reference (for example, historical match results), which we retain as needed for the integrity of shared records.

6. Data retention

We retain account and activity data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed for recordkeeping, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. You may request deletion as described above. Crash reports are kept on a shorter cycle and are deleted automatically by Firebase Crashlytics, currently after 90 days.

7. Age requirement

Playwich is intended for use by adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete that information and, where applicable, terminate the associated account. If you believe someone under 18 has created an account or provided us information, contact us at support@playwich.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or by email.
